This policy is a plain-language template covering how this website and our services currently work. It isn't a substitute for legal advice — before relying on it, have it reviewed by a lawyer qualified in Belgian/EU data protection law, and update it whenever the tools or data flows described below change.
1. Who we are
Help a Mano is a brand of Esperity BV, a company registered in Belgium, with its office at Bd Brand Whitlock 108, 1200 Brussels, Belgium (VAT / company number: [add your BCE/KBO number here]). Esperity BV is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

2. What personal data we collect
We collect personal data in a few limited ways:
- Contact form: name, email, phone (optional), company (optional), team size, language preference and the message you write to us.
- Email correspondence: anything you send us directly by email.
- Booking a session: when you click "Book a session," you're taken to Calendly, a third-party scheduling tool, where you provide your name, email and any details needed to schedule the call. Calendly processes that data under its own privacy policy.
- Basic technical data: standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) generated by visiting the site, and — if you load our Contact page — data associated with the embedded Google Maps view.
3. Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange a session — necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, or to perform a contract with you.
- To deliver, invoice and follow up on training sessions and programs you've booked — performance of a contract.
- To keep our website secure and working — legitimate interest.
- Where you've given it, and for anything not covered above — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
4. Who we share it with
We don't sell personal data. We do use a small number of third-party tools to run the business, each acting as a processor or independent controller for the data they handle:
- Calendly — scheduling of sessions.
- Google Fonts / Google Maps — the website loads the Inter typeface from Google's font servers and, on the Contact page, an embedded Google Maps view; both can result in your IP address being shared with Google as part of loading those resources.
- Email & office tools (e.g. Google Workspace) — for handling correspondence.
- Payment processing — if and when you pay for a program, your payment details are handled directly by our payment provider (e.g. Stripe or Mollie), not stored by us.
We may also disclose data where required by law, or to protect our rights.
5. International transfers
Some of the providers above (including Calendly and Google) are based in, or transfer data to, the United States. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer (such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses) to keep your data protected to an equivalent standard.
6. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and client data for as long as needed to deliver our services, meet legal/accounting obligations (generally 7 years for invoicing records under Belgian law), and resolve any disputes — then delete or anonymise it.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you can ask us to:
- Give you access to the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent, where consent is the basis for processing
To exercise any of these, email info@helpamano.com. You can also lodge a complaint with Belgium's data protection authority, the Autorité de protection des données / Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.

9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the personal data we handle, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our tools or services change. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the latest version.
